Privacy Policy

Stonecrumb is a small artisan bakery in Dubai. This policy explains the limited information we collect when you place an order, how we use it, and how to ask us to remove it.

What we collect

When you place an order through stonecrumb.com we collect:

• Name and phone number — to confirm your order and arrange delivery.
• Delivery address and a map pin — so the rider can find you.
• Order details — what you ordered, the date and time slot you chose, and any notes you added.
• Payment information — if you pay with Ziina, we receive a payment intent ID and the amount. Your card details never touch our servers; they stay with Ziina.
• Source of visit — we record whether you arrived from Instagram, Google, a direct link, or another referrer, so we know which channels are working. We do not link this to your name.

What we don't collect

• We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your details with marketers.
• We do not collect any data from people who only browse the site without ordering.

How we use it

Order details are used to bake and deliver your order. They are also forwarded to:

• WhatsApp and Telegram — so the bakery team is notified instantly.
• A private Google Sheet — for our internal record of orders.
• Ziina — only when you choose to pay online; only the amount and a reference are exchanged with them. Ziina's own privacy policy applies to your payment data.

Storage on your device

To make checkout faster on return visits, your browser stores a few things in localStorage:

• Your cart contents, until you place the order or clear it.
• Your name, phone, address, and last map pin, so we can pre-fill the form next time.
• The first and most recent referral source you arrived from.

This data lives only on your device. You can clear it at any time from your browser's site settings.

Map and location

The map on the checkout page uses OpenStreetMap tiles. If you tap "Use my current location" we ask your device's geolocation, only at that moment, to drop the pin — we never track your location otherwise.

How long we keep it

Order records remain in our private sheet so we can support repeat customers and resolve any delivery issues. You can ask us to delete your records at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Send you a copy of the order data we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment processing is handled by Ziina, which is regulated by the UAE Central Bank. We never see or store your card details.

Updates

We will revise this policy if our data practices change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
